EcoHub is a community waste hub in Beirut where people trade their household waste for “EcoCurrency,” which they can spend in its own shop on everyday groceries and household goods or in its thrift store, while the same space hosts hands-on workshops, an eco play area for children, and Mnshu, its brand of products made from the collected waste. -
Your solution
Our main offering is EcoCurrency, which turns household waste into money people can spend. Families in Beirut bring sorted waste to EcoHub, where it is weighed and exchanged for credit to buy groceries and household essentials at our outlet or second-hand items at our thrift store. This gives lower-income households real savings while keeping waste out of landfills. We also run Green Heroes, a programme for businesses to donate their recyclables as part of their social commitments; hands-on workshops and an eco play area for schools, children, women and youth; and Mnshu, our brand of products made from collected waste.
