🌍 From regional dialogue to practical green collaboration.


REES was pleased to participate in the Arab Impact Summit 2026, held in Amman on 5–6 October, joining more than 650 participants from over 30 countries for two days of meaningful conversations, networking, and collaboration.


Representing REES at the Summit were Eng. Tameem ALZOABI, Vice President, and Eng. Waleed As'ad, Board Secretary, who engaged with regional stakeholders and explored opportunities for institutional cooperation and sustainable development.


The Summit brought together social enterprises, investors, business support organizations, development actors, ecosystem builders, and change makers from across the Arab region—all exploring how stronger partnerships can create more sustainable, locally driven impact.


A particularly valuable part of our participation was the Green Forward Jordan–Palestine BSO Networking & Collaboration Session at the Green House in Jabal Amman.


The session moved beyond traditional networking toward identifying practical areas for cooperation between Jordanian and Palestinian organizations, including:


• Green business and SME support
• Renewable energy and resource efficiency
• Circular economy
• ESG and sustainability
• Green finance
• Market access and entrepreneurship
• Skills development and institutional knowledge exchange


For REES, these conversations matter because the transition to a greener economy requires more than technology. It requires strong institutions, regional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and partnerships that turn ideas into action.


We look forward to continuing the conversations and exploring opportunities that can create tangible value for the renewable energy and sustainability ecosystem in Jordan and across the region.

REES at JinkoSolar’s 20th Anniversary & Tiger Neo 3.0 Launch in Jordan ☀️


The Renewable Energy Establishments Society and Energy Management (REES) was pleased to attend the special evening hosted by JinkoSolar and its Gold Distributor in Jordan, Generators for Solar Energy, on September 22, 2026, at The St. Regis Amman.


The event marked two important milestones: JinkoSolar’s 20th Anniversary and the official launch of the Tiger Neo 3.0 in the Jordanian market.


It was a valuable opportunity to meet with professionals and industry stakeholders, exchange perspectives on the continued development of Jordan’s solar energy sector, and witness the introduction of new-generation photovoltaic technology to the local market.

🇯🇴🤝🇨🇳 REES Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute (GNERI) in China


REES has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute (GNERI) in the People’s Republic of China, marking an important step in strengthening international cooperation and expanding opportunities for knowledge exchange, hashtag#capacity building, technology transfer, and renewable energy hashtag#innovation.


REES was represented at the signing by its Vice President, Eng. Tameem ALZOABI, in the presence of REES Board Secretary Waleed As'ad, and the Jordanian team, during the Society’s participation in the specialized training program on “Photovoltaic Module Production and Recycling Technologies for Developing Countries” in Gansu Province.


The MoU establishes a non-binding framework for exploring cooperation in several strategic areas, including:
• Renewable energy technologies, including photovoltaic and solar thermal applications
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and energy storage technologies
• Energy efficiency, energy management, demand-side management, and industrial decarbonization
• Green buildings and sustainable construction
• Professional and technical training
• Applied research, technical studies, and knowledge exchange
• Technology transfer and pilot or demonstration initiatives
• Joint workshops, conferences, technical missions, and innovation activities
• Cooperation with industry, SMEs, universities, research institutions, and other stakeholders


A key area of the agreement is the shared intention to develop REES as a preferred Jordan-based platform for training, capacity building, and knowledge transfer for mutually agreed programs involving GNERI expertise, with the potential to extend selected programs to participants from the Middle East and neighboring markets.


This cooperation reflects REES’s ongoing commitment to building strategic international partnerships that can create tangible value for Jordan’s energy sector, while opening new opportunities for members, engineers, companies, researchers, and institutions to benefit from advanced technical knowledge, innovation, and global best practices.


REES extends its appreciation to the Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute (GNERI) for its trust, cooperation, and commitment to developing long-term institutional ties.

REES Participates in Technical Consultation on ATS Requirements for Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems 🇯🇴⚡


Today, Eng. Waleed As'ad & Eng. Nasri Amara participated in a technical meeting held at the هيئة تنظيم قطاع الطاقة والمعادن-EMRC to discuss the proposed technical specifications for Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) protection systems for hybrid renewable energy projects.


The meeting brought together representatives from the renewable energy sector to review the technical requirements and support practical, safe, and effective implementation within Jordan’s electricity distribution companies (JEPCO)(Irbid Electricity Company)(شركة توزيع الكهرباء EDCO).


As part of the consultation process, Renewable Energy Establishments Society and Energy Management (REES) has received the ATS technical specification for industry review and invites renewable energy companies, EPCs, engineers, and technical specialists to review the document and provide comments, observations, or recommendations.

Strengthening Jordan–China Cooperation in Renewable Energy


As part of its continued efforts to expand international cooperation and build strategic partnerships, a delegation from the Renewable Energy Establishments Society and Energy Management (REES) visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Jordan.


REES was represented by Eng. Tameem AlZoabi, Vice President, and Mr. Waleed As’ad, Board Secretary.


The meeting explored opportunities for joint cooperation and partnerships in renewable energy and energy management, with particular emphasis on advanced technologies and innovative solutions that can support the sector’s sustainable growth.


The discussions also addressed opportunities for knowledge exchange, education, and professional capacity building through the REES Academy.

REES Proposes Key Amendments to Energy Efficiency Regulations


To drive sustainable growth and investment in the renewable energy sector, REES has submitted comprehensive proposals to amend current energy efficiency regulations.


Key Highlights:

1. Economic Incentives: Proposing a 50% reduction in network service fees for key sectors and tax exemptions for energy storage systems (batteries) to support grid stability.

1. Procedural Efficiency: Expanding third-party verification bodies and separating connection approvals from audit implementations to accelerate project timelines.

1. Phased Implementation: Starting with the industrial sector by raising the consumption ceiling subject to regulations to 1,000 MWh annually.
