Fund for Innovation in Development Rolling Grants for Innovations Tackling Poverty and Inequality
The Fund for Innovation in Development, hosted by the French development agency AFD, accepts proposals year-round from NGOs, companies, universities and public agencies. It funds innovations in education, health, climate change and gender equality, with grant tiers scaling from small proof-of-concept funding through to large scale-up awards. Comoros, Djibouti and Mauritania are explicitly named as priority countries. There is no submission deadline.

SPEEDUP Eco-Rally in Tripoli for Green Entrepreneurs and Newcomers to Green Business
INJAZ Lebanon, with Tri-pulley and Eco Consulting, is running a one-day team competition through Tripoli under the EU-funded Pact for the Mediterranean. Teams cycle a city route solving eco-challenges while learning about green entrepreneurship. UNICEF Venture Fund Equity-Free Investment for Open-Source Technology Startups
The UNICEF Venture Fund invests in early-stage, for-profit technology startups building open-source solutions with a working prototype, and adds a year of hands-on mentoring from its technical team. No equity is taken. Companies must be registered in a UNICEF programme country, a list covering essentially the whole MENA region plus Turkey, and show potential to improve the lives of vulnerable children.
