From hosting international student delegations to bringing together changemakers across the country, June was a month of momentum for MCISE. Whether through strategic retreats, high-energy networking events, national competitions, or deep-dive training sessions, our teams stayed hard at work creating spaces where youth, entrepreneurs, and partners could connect, learn, and build real impact together.

MCISE's Numbers in June

Bunyan Team Retreat

🗓️ June 2 to 4, 2026

The Bunyan team came together for a three-day retreat marking a strategic step in the program's operational rollout, as its various components, including territorial diagnostics, calls for applications, OSC support mechanisms, and administrative, financial, and operational monitoring systems, continued their progressive launch.

Given its multi-regional coordination, the program requires continuous alignment across approaches, tools, and steering mechanisms. The retreat brought together regional managers alongside operational, administrative, and financial teams to strengthen this coordination and build shared alignment around the program's priorities.

DARE inc. Innovation Factory: Third Bootcamp

🗓️ June 6 to 7, 2026

The Ashoka-affiliated program, carried out under DARE inc. Innovation Factory with support from Alwaleed Philanthropies, closed its cycle with its third and final bootcamp, focused on process automation using AI and no-code tools. The session was designed to help changemakers turn their ideas into practical, streamlined solutions without needing a technical background.

Throughout the two days, participants collaborated, experimented, and built innovative models aimed at simplifying processes and strengthening the impact of their own initiatives, moving from hands on challenges to final presentations.

Ashoka Networking Event

📍 Casablanca | 🗓️ June 8, 2026

Just a day after the bootcamp wrapped, MCISE brought together a room full of changemakers in Casablanca for a networking event built around a simple but powerful idea: that big ideas start with strong connections. The gathering was conceived as a space for social entrepreneurs, ecosystem actors, and changemakers across Morocco's social innovation scene to exchange experience, spark new collaborations, and build the kind of relationships that often turn into concrete partnerships down the line.

National Robotics Festival for Pioneer Middle Schools

 📍 Mediatheque of the Hassan II Mosque Foundation, Casablanca | 🗓️ June 8–9, 2026

The National Festival of Technological Discovery, Programming, and Robotics for Pioneer Middle Schools brought together 36 Pioneer Middle Schools representing 12 regions from across the Kingdom in an atmosphere driven by innovation, creativity, and healthy competition.

The event was led by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, in partnership with the Moroccan Center for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (MCISE), with the support of Praticours, and was hosted at the Mediatheque of the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca. It reflected a shared commitment to fostering technological innovation and empowering the next generation of innovators.

Throughout the two-day festival, students took part in robotics challenges such as Tech Race and Dodge Bots, presented their innovative projects to a panel of expert judges, and participated in interactive workshops led by trainers and specialists.

The festival concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating the participants' creativity, technical excellence, teamwork, and commitment to technological innovation.

National Festival for Public Speaking and Debate by Munadara

📍 UM6P, Benguerir | 🗓️ June 9 to 11, 2026

As part of the Arts Oratoires des Collèges Pionniers program, led by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, in partnership with the Moroccan Center for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (MCISE), with the support of TrainUp, this national festival brought together around 150 students and facilitators representing all regions of the Kingdom for four days of public speaking, debates, and competitive challenges.

In addition to the competitions, UM6P's Cultur.Ed team facilitated a series of cultural and artistic workshops, providing participants with a rich and engaging learning experience.

The festival concluded with an official awards ceremony honoring the Kingdom's most outstanding young speakers and debaters, celebrating four days of learning, competition, creativity, and inspiration.

Hong Kong Student Delegation Visit

🗓️ June 15, 2026

MCISE welcomed a delegation of students from Hong Kong for a visit focused on discovering MCISE and the Al Inbiaat Youth Platform, and their role in supporting social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment in Morocco.

The program featured a presentation by the MCISE team highlighting the organization's work in social entrepreneurship and environmental initiatives, the role of the Al Inbiaat Youth Platform in empowering young people, how Moroccan startups are addressing sustainability challenges, and the key opportunities and obstacles they encounter.

The visit concluded with an engaging Q&A session, providing the students with deeper insights into Morocco's entrepreneurial ecosystem and the initiatives driving innovation and social impact.

Bunyan: Regional Calls for Applications

As part of the Bunyan program, MCISE launched regional calls for applications targeting Civil Society Organizations across Rabat–Salé–Kénitra, Béni Mellal–Khénifra, Drâa–Tafilalet, Souss–Massa, and the Oriental region.

Through this campaign, organizations with social and environmental impact were invited to apply for a dedicated accompaniment program aimed at strengthening their organizational and financial sustainability, expanding their initiatives, and increasing their territorial impact.

This mobilization phase represented an important step in engaging local civil society actors and ensuring that organizations across the five target regions could benefit from tailored support adapted to their needs and development ambitions.

Bunyan Program: Application Deadline Extended

To encourage broader participation and provide additional time for interested organizations, the Bunyan program extended its application deadline until July 5, 2026.

This extension offered Civil Society Organizations across the target regions an additional opportunity to complete their applications and join a comprehensive accompaniment program dedicated to strengthening organizational capacities, enhancing sustainability, and increasing territorial impact.

By extending the application period, the program reaffirmed its commitment to reaching a diverse range of organizations and ensuring that more impact-driven initiatives could benefit from Bunyan's support.

Bunyan: Information Sessions Across Target Regions

Toward the end of June, Bunyan organized a series of information sessions across several cities in its target regions. These sessions introduced the program’s areas of intervention and eligibility criteria to local civil society organizations, presented the support package—including organizational diagnostics, training, and individualized coaching—and explained the application process ahead of the July 5 deadline.

The sessions also provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain a clearer understanding of the program and the support available to successful applicants.

The initiatives carried out throughout June highlighted the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and ecosystem support in driving meaningful change. From strengthening organizational capacities to supporting entrepreneurs and engaging future professionals, each activity contributed to nurturing more resilient and impact-oriented communities.
