Dr. Ahmed Taher Yassin …
is a novelist who writes what lies beneath the story and an investigative writer who follows the truth wherever it hides. He believes honest words leave a lasting mark, and that writing is a responsibility before it is a talent.
His work is driven by research and documentation into the forces behind major regional and global issues. Over the past two years, he has taken on the digital world and its crimes as a personal responsibility, studying it in depth. That work produced his landmark documentary novel The Trial: Behind the Blue Light. His literary and academic body of work extends from the novel An Hour a Day to his doctoral research on how interaction with AI systems shapes youth awareness, identity and belonging, which he sees as one of the defining challenges facing this generation.
For 26 years he served at Egypt's Cabinet of Ministers as Senior Protocol Officer under successive prime ministers. He accompanied kings, crown princes and heads of government, led official state visits and the signing of international agreements, and took part in national milestones, most notably the opening of the New Suez Canal.
As an entrepreneur, he is co-founder of KALIA, an AI-powered fintech platform serving Egyptian families, built on his conviction that real technology is the kind that makes a difference in people's lives.
