“A Simple Change That Made My Everyday Spending More Mindful”
I didn’t really think much about gift cards earlier- I always saw them as something you give others, not something you use for yourself. But recently, I started using GyFTR, and it kind of changed that perspective for me.
What I like most is that it fits into my regular spending habits without feeling forced. I’m not going out of my way to use it. If I already know I’m going to order food, shop online, or pay for a subscription, I just check if there’s a gift card available and use that instead.
At first, I thought it might be a bit inconvenient or time-consuming, but it’s actually pretty straightforward. Once you get used to it, it becomes part of the process. I usually decide what I want to buy first and then purchase a gift card for that exact amount, so there’s no confusion or leftover balance.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that it makes me slightly more mindful about spending. Since I’m consciously choosing to buy a gift card before making a purchase, I tend to avoid impulsive decisions.
It’s not something I rely on heavily, but it’s definitely a useful addition to how I manage everyday expenses. If you already spend online quite often, it’s worth trying once to see if it works for you.
